Wellness Program

Before the inside of a horse can be right,

the inside of the person needs to be right.

Tom Dorrence

Conducted by Dr. Stacy Judah, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in supporting Veterans, Law Enforcement Officers, and First Responders, this program is designed for individuals who regularly face distressing situations in their line of work. The purpose is to help participants transition from the intensity of their daily environment into a calm and restorative setting, where they can also serve as positive role models for the youth at the ranch. For those who are new to working with horses, the children provide meaningful guidance by teaching the adults, which strengthens the children’s confidence and sense of competence. Adults naturally begin learning horsemanship through these child-led interactions. Participants may also choose to simply relax among the herd, read a favorite book, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
